The Little Girl
Do you see this little girl waiting for her parents outside?
Like always they are laughing with their friends inside
Like always they are putting a show
Like always she's afraid to go
She had fun tonight
She can't deny it
But when it's time to say goodbye
She's afraid they're gonna die
Don't they see she's sick and tired of this game?
They climb in the car, it's freezing
She's in the back, listening, her parents are shouting
Away from everyone, there's no more hiding
Her mother is mad at her dad again
She thinks he has drank too much, he's angry at her
She screams don't go faster, he smiles and increase the speed
Like always, like always, it's always the same,
Why can't they stop ?
Why can't they see she's afraid?
Why don't they stop !
Don't they love her enough?
Don't they see deep inside she's crying?
Don't they care she's hurting ?
The little girl doesn't flinch
She's afraid but she's used to it
She doesn't say a thing, she doesn't want to be part of it
Another evening full of hate and shit
She escapes in another world
Full of love, away from this worry
Somewhere where she's truly happy
No more shouts to make her crazy
They think she doesn't care
She listens obediently to her mother saying her dad's a jerk
But inside she's getting angry
Once they're home she goes to bed
And then she cries silently
Maybe one day it will be alright
But for now, she still cries every night
